Sony has announced that it will shutting down the online servers for yet another one of its games this year. The latest game to lose online support is CounterSpy for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. Thankfully, though, the online component is minimal and it won’t take you all that long to get the online trophy, if you’re bothered about it anyway.
CounterSpy’s servers will be shut down on June 1st, 2018 on all consoles. After that date you will not be able to attain the online trophy that requires you to beat another player’s score on the online leaderboards. It’s not the end of world but it’s certainly a worrying trend that we’re not too happy to see.
Will you be delving deep into the murky world of espionage to mop up that one trophy? You could let us know down in the comments section below, but in all honesty we’re not that interested to know. C’mon. It’s an old game…
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
