Spacebase Startopia, developed by Realmforge Studios and published by Kalypso Media, will be releasing on March 26th, 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as announced today by the duo.
Those wanting to get some early-hands on time with the game can only do so via pre-purchasing the game PC via Steam or the Kalypso Store, or you can take the console version for a spin on Xbox via Game Preview. Unfortunately, there’s no demo of any kind on PS4 or PS5, but that’s kind of standard these days. If you’re on Switch, the game will release sometime later this year, though the date has not yet been specified.
Spacebase Startopia is a city-builder with a twist. Rather than connecting sewage pipes and highways on earth, you’ll be building your doughnut-shaped space station to fit the needs of your passengers as well as space-faring tourists interested in checking out your digs.
There’s even multiplayer with support for up to four players, where you can work together to build the best floating space doughnut of all time. Or sabotage each other by doing dastardly deeds to hurt their economy. I know what I’d be doing…
