Spider-Man was our game of the year for 2018, and it continues to impress. In the latest patch, you can swing into two new outfits taken from Spidey’s past adventures with the Fantastic Four. In honor of Marvel’s “World’s Greatest Week”, the first suit is named The Bombastic Bag Man. It is a Fantastic Four costume with a bag over his head to conceal his identity. The second is a slick black and white outfit from his time with the Future Foundation.
I’ll be brief on the history (full details on the PlayStation Blog), but the bag man costume is when Peter Parker had to lose his costume and had to borrow what was available from the Fantastic Four. The Future Foundation costume is when he joined them, they took on a cool name, and dropped the standard blue garb. I can tell you which amazing costume I will be giving a try, and it won’t have anything to do with a grocery sack.
My petty style complaints aside, the good thing is that either costume is free. After you download patch 1.14, you should have access to them, and you can make your own choice about how to outfit your superhero. It’s nice to see new free DLC still being given away by the developer.
Speaking of, can you guys make a good Superman game? That would be a heroic accomplishment.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
