Gamedust has announced that it will be bringing a brand new game to PSVR later this year, and if you’re a fan of all things potato, take notice because it’s called Spuds Unearthed. You love spuds? You might love this game. Might.
The game’s developers, Gamedust, have already released the game to positive reviews on Steam. Now it’s the turn of PSVR players to put their battle tactics to the test in a game that blends strategy, tower defense, and shooting to create a game that’ll have you moving and thinking, and possibly sweating.
To help get the PSVR version of the game off the ground and improved over the PC release, Gamedust has started an Indiegogo campaign. There’s no word yet on whether the PSVR release hangs on the success or failure of this campaign, but let’s just hope it makes it to our headsets somehow. You can check out the campaign here and donate if you feel so inclined.
It’s worth noting that the fundraising page mentions that the expected delivery date for the game is September, 2019. Fingers crossed.
Piotr Jaworski, CEO, Gamedust, said: “We believe that Spuds Unearthed provides a truly unique mix of VR-focused design, seamless user experience and a world full of wacky potatoes fighting for their own piece of land. We’re launching our Indiegogo campaign to help us bring the game to PSVR and help us reach our full vision for Spuds Unearthed, including a full single-player story campaign. We would love to hear feedback from our supporters on the final stage of the game’s development to create something capable of being sustained for a long time, for current and future players.”
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
