This is the oddest and most unexpected announcement in a long while: STALKER 2 has been announced by Sergiy Grygorovych, the owner of GSC Game World, the developer behind STALKER.
What’s strange is the manner in which the game was announced. It wasn’t via a big fancy press release or a fancy video or a fancy livestream. It was done on… er, Sergiy’s Facebook page. There’s literally no other information to be gleaned from the post, other than a link to the game’s website which holds the date 2021.
At the moment, we’re clueless. Expect more in the future? Maybe? In the meantime, be sure to bookmark the website.
If the release date is accurate, we’re looking at another three years on the planet without another STALKER game. Heck, the chances are that this game may not even release on PS4, but perhaps whatever the next PlayStation console is.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
