A legend is reborn and remastered.
If you’ve spotted our article on last nights PlayStation Showcase then you would know that the show started strong with a teaser trailer for the remaster of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, bringing back the legendary Jedi Knight and Master Sith Darth Revan.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has been built entirely from the ground up meaning every spaceship, building, and lightsaber has been made from scratch, ushering in a new generation of Star Wars fans to this epic title.
This roleplaying game is in development as a console exclusive for the PlayStation 5 however those of you on PC will also be able to experience the shiny new graphics when it finally releases – whenever that date is.
The development of the remake is being led by a newly formed team of veteran developers and published from Aspyr alongside Lucasfilm Games to make sure that the original vision of Knights of the Old Republic is exactly the way the fans want.
This isn’t the first time the two have combined either to bring Star Wars fans classic Star Wars titles to modern-day platforms, including even the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Douglas Reilly, Vice President at Lucasfilm Games seems to be looking forward to partnering with Song as he said:
“Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic stands out among the Legends of Star Wars storytelling, and we’re thrilled to be joining with Aspyr and Sony to remake this Legend for a new generation of Players.
“Our teams have been working closely and share a deep commitment to honouring what fans love about the original, while bringing new fans on this incredible journey.”
Finally, after 18 years, we hear some exciting news that will bring back Revan, with Aspyr publishing the PC version and Sony Interactive Entertainment publishing for the PlayStation 5 I can finally wear my Darth Revan badge with pride.
