Stardew Valley has been eagerly awaited by loyal PS Vita fans for a long, long time. It’s been promised since forever but there’s been very little news on the expected port. Until today, that is.
The game’s developer, Eric Barone, announced today on the PlayStation Blog that Stardew Valley will be releasing on PS Vita this May 22nd. What’s more is that if you own the game on PS4, you won’t have to pay again to take your farming life on the go as Stardew Valley is a Cross-Buy release. So buy it once on one console, get it across both. Not a bad deal.
For those who are blissfully unaware, Stardew Valley is a farming/life sim where you’re free to do as you like. It may not look like much at first glance, but there’s a deep and rewarding game to be had for those who stick it out. Just ask this writer – he’s been farming for months with the Nintendo Switch version, and there’s no sign of it stopping anytime soon…
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
