Did you not go to New York Comic Con either? Since that’s the majority of us, I am happy to share any trailers that cross my desk or YouTube feed. Today, I have a new trailer for Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist, the latest game from the primary publisher of all things anime games, Bandai Namco. It was unveiled at the Comic Con we missed, but now we can give it our collectively critical gaze.
The gameplay is split between ghouls and investigators. It’s filled with fierce combat in both ranged and melee varieties, and you might want to be careful if you are prone to seizures. There are multiple characters shown with powerful Kagune and Quinque weapons, and the video cuts are just as quick and sharp as the weapons they use.
Coming with multiple modes and pulling from several stories in the universe, Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist will have players picking a side and fighting it out for survival in offline and online battles. We don’t have a release date for this one yet, but I would expect to see it next year.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
