Super Hiking League DX

Super Hiking League DX Releases Today

Race to the top or plummet to the ground in this uphill climb.

QUByte Interactive and Bit Ink Studios have announced the release of their brand new retro platformer, Super Hiking League DX, and it’s out today on PC and consoles, including your favourite PlayStations.

This pixel-art platformer has you playing as Nelson, a member of the Super Hiking League. When an evil wizard plans to make the mountains disappear as part of his mission to make the world completely flat it is your job to stop him. You’ll be competing against other hiking trekkers to collect all the magic gems and put an end to this plan.

Either take on the mountainous climbs alone against an AI or bring along a friend through local multiplayer mode this retro-styled experience is sure to give much nostalgia, not to mention the phenomenal 8-bit soundtrack that accompanies the race against time.

There is more than just the usual single-player and multiplayer mode as you can unlock different stages by completing a variety of modes such as the Arcade mode where you can challenge yourself at different difficulties. There is also Time Attack mode where you’ll need to race against the clock to see how fast you can complete your hike and then watch your replay to see how you could have improved.

The most exciting mode that I’m interested in is the select rope modes such as Automatic, Mixed or Advanced. These modes will put the elastic grapple tool to the test as this platformer prides itself on its elastic rope swing physics, and who doesn’t want to feel like Tarzan swinging from platform to platform?

As of today, Super Hiking League DX is available to purchase on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. You cheeky devils on PC have already been able to play it for over a year.
