Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed the opening animation for Tales of Arise, and it shows off some striking character designs, beautiful environments, and some epic animated fighting scenes.
The stunning opening is animated by Ufotable, which have previously worked on other openings for the Tales series such as Tales of Xillia and Tales of Zestiria. It also includes the theme song “Hibana” by Kankaku Piero, a well-known Japanese rock band, which are no stranger to covering openings, as their past works include the opening theme for the anime series Black Clover. Tales of Arise was initially scheduled for release back in 2020, but sadly, the game was delayed; therefore, the new footage of the opening will undoubtedly be welcomed by fans.
The opening animation is accompanied by newly released gameplay footage for Tales of Arise, which displays a party of characters battling a string of monstrous enemies before taking on a gigantic insect-inspired creature. Tales of Arise will centre around two characters from opposing worlds, as they are on a mission to change their fate and create a new future for themselves.
Tales of Arise is scheduled to release on September 10 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
