If there’s one thing Bandai Namco wants you to know about Tekken 7, it’s that the fights get very personal. After all it was announced the latest entry into the popular fighting series would be the end of the Mishima feud. At least between father and son, Heihachi and Kazuya. For those of you who don’t know let’s just say the daddy threw the child into a volcano. Yea, we’re not exaggerating but believe us there’s something personal there. In celebration of this rivalry a new trailer for Tekken 7 has hit the internet titled, ‘Rage and Sorrow.’ You’ll get to see all sorts of action between the prodigal family along with cutscenes and gameplay from the title. There’s even a snippet of footage showing off the guest character, Akuma. Definitely check out the action in the video above.
Additionally, we have some great news for you if you live in the Americas. Tekken 7’s release date for the territory is June 2nd, 2017 and Bandai Namco has provided some details about the buying options. There will be a collector’s edition containing a 12″ tall and 18″ wide statue of Kazuya fly kicking Heihachi, a special steel book case, and the game’s official soundtrack. There will also be a season pass available for purchase that grants access to new playable characters, stages, game modes, and costume packs. If you pre-order the title anywhere you’ll receive access to the DLC character Eliza, (who made her debut in Tekken Revolution) and the PS4 version will have these exclusive contents: legacy costumes from Tekken 4 and Tekken 2 for King, Xiaoyu, and Jin, plus a Jukebox Mode that allows fans to listen to classic tunes.
Tekken 7 is developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The long running, fighting franchise has been around since the original PlayStation days and has a huge fan following. The series has ten standalone titles to its name as well as crossovers and movies. If you’re looking to get a head start on the latest addition, you can pre-order it here. Let us know what you think about Kazuya possibly and finally getting his revenge on dear old daddy. We’d say it’s been a long time coming but that’s a given.
