The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Releasing Spring 2017 on PS4, Lots of New Content to Come
The developer behind The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has announced that the game will be releasing early next year for PC players, while PS4 players will get their hands on little Isaac in the Spring of 2017.
Writing on the game’s blog, Nicalis’ Ed McMillen, announced the release window and the new features that will come as part of the meaty expansion. What wasn’t clear was what will be included in the PS4 release and what’s exclusive to the PC edition. There’s mention of mod tools, though we imagine this is restricted to the PC. There will be over 100 new items, trinkets and pickups, a final new chapter, a new final boss, a new playable character, and more. For the full list of new additions, we suggest you check out the woefully written blog post. Seriously, McMillen, can’t you capitalise? Sorry, we’re just a bit anal about that kind of thing…
There’s no solid release date yet, but we imagine that Spring 2017 means it’ll release sometime between March and May. Then again, we could be wildly wrong. Who knows…
Looking forward to getting back into the dirty world of Isaac, or does the controversial dungeon-crawler not appeal to your high-brow gaming sensibilities? Give birth to a comment down below.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
