The next entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology series, Little Hope, is planning to add some terror to your Halloween season. The trailer released today starts with the mysterious Curator talking about the story. It will be very different this time, and the stakes are higher than life and death in Little Hope. Finding game secrets is demonstrated as someone examines one of those creepy old dolls.
We also learn that the premonition pictures will make a return. In Man of Medan, they would give you a glimpse of a possible future. As they mention in the trailer, “forewarned is forearmed”, but that doesn’t mean the horrible thing you saw won’t happen if you make particular choices.
There is a lot of other tense and scary gameplay footage for you to see in the trailer, and we are only fifteen days from actually playing it. Designed for multiple playthroughs with branching storylines, it’s worth a couple of replays too. If you pre-order the game, you’ll receive The Curator’s Cut which unlocks new scenes and allows you to play from the perspective of other characters. It unlocked for free after release last time, but it’s a cool way to replay the same game.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will release on October 30th.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
