For those who care, this is a big deal: God of War has been crowned Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2018. It had already been tipped to win a few awards at this year’s show, but Game of the Year? I didn’t see it coming, personally, but it’s what happened.
It’s strange to think that at one point during the game’s development Shuhei Yoshida was so unimpressed with what he saw that he walked out of the room in disgust. Yet here we are with God of War winning Game of the Year.
Speaking of Game of the Year and awards… We’re going to be putting out some of our own Game of the Year content over the next couple of weeks, so be sure to pop in to see what myself and the rest of the team enjoyed the most in this colourful year of gaming.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
