The King Of Fighters 2000 Is Coming to PS4

Fan favourite and arcade classic The King Of Fighters 2000 has been announced to be releasing on the PS4 as a PS2 classic in the form of an emulation. Although the official announcement was made on the 28/04/16 (yesterday) it was noticed earlier in the week that the trophies had already gone online giving us some inclination to the fact that we should be expecting an announcement very soon. However so far the release day has been confirmed as the 3rd of May… for North America, over here in Europe we can only hope that we will see a release for us in the near future.

The King Of Fighters 2000 was originally released on the PS2 and the Neo Geo arcade machine, hence being rendered an arcade classic; however it was also ported to the Sega Dreamcast. The game features 35 playable characters and is the seventh in ‘The King Of Fighters’ series. Interestingly it was also the last game in the series that SNK developed before they went bankrupt and merged with Playmore. Finally, keep in mind the game will be released as an emulation not a remaster, the PS2 classic will be on the PS4 in as similar a form to possible as it was when originally released.
