Performance updates and next-gen upgrades are all the rage these days and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 is the latest to get the next-gen treatment.
Sony has announced today that The Last of Us Part 2 will now give players on PS5 the ability to play at “up to” 60fps with the latest update for the game, version 1.08.
Fans of the game have been wondering when it would get a next-gen update, especially after other first-party games were given PS5 support – and with great results.
Well, that day has come and The Last of Us Part 2 now runs at up to 60fps on PS5. There’s a new option to toggle in the game’s display options that will let players choose between 30fps and 60fps modes.
Furthermore, Arnie Meyer, director of communications at Naughty Dog, also states that this update is “just the first step of working on the PS5” for Naughty Dog, and that the developer will share more when there’s more to share.
