The Uncharted movie has a storied history, and for the longest time, it looked like it was destined to float around Hollywood as another video game ghost script with no chance of ever hitting the silver screen.
Well, it is happening – finally – though we’re all still anxious as to whether it’ll actually be any good, or if it’ll land on the pile of naff Hollywood video game adaptations.
The movie’s Tom Holland (Nathan Drake) is confident his latest job is a good’un, and the star has said in an Instagram live stream that the movie is “everything I dreamed it would be,” while also revealing he’s sustained an injury in a “revealing” area.

“Filming is going so well. The film is like, everything I dreamed it would be. I mean, I don’t know if you guys played the games, but I was such a huge fan of the game, and it’s been going so well,” Holland said in the Instagram live stream.
Originally, Mark Wahlberg was set to play Nathan Drake during the early days of the Uncharted movie’s production, but he ha since been re-cast as Drake’s partner-in-adventure, Sully, which is a strange choice considering Wahlberg is still quite young. However, Wahlberg did recently let slip that the film is an origin story, so it makes sense that Sully won’t be as grey and grizzled as he appears in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
