Here’s something a little refreshing: Respawn Entertainment has announced that Titanfall 2 won’t feature any paid DLC. You won’t be coaxed into forking out for a Season Pass, and all new maps and game modes that get added to the game post-launch will be 100% free for everyone.
It’s a nice change of pace from the usual business practices that have hounded players over recent years. We imagine there’s still going to be micro-transactions within the game’s multiplayer suite, but as long as they’re aren’t overly intrusive, we can’t see this being a problem for most players.
Fair play to Respawn Entertainment and EA on this front. It’s a big thumbs up to gamers instead of a massive middle finger, so we respect that. We respect that a lot.
Titanfall 2 is due to release on October 28th, so be on the lookout over the next few days for Pure PlayStation’s review. Our very own Dom O’Leary is currently getting to grips with the game, and once we’ve pulled him out of his Titan he’ll be putting his thoughts into words.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
