It looks like Tony Hawk’s games aren’t quite done, and somehow, Activision has managed to hold onto the license just a little bit longer.
The publisher announced today on the PlayStation Blog that it will be releasing remakes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year on September 4th, 2020.
The remakes will be released as a double pack, meaning that for your money, you’ll get two games. The recommended retail price is a fair $39.99/regional equivalent.
According to Activision, the games have been completely remade to take advantage of the modern consoles, and they’ll come with every feature that was available in the original games, as well as some new features, like online multiplayer, as well as support for 4K resolutions on PS4 and 60fps for all PS4 models.
The last Tony Hawk game to release was the abysmal Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, which really was piss poor in every respect. Here’s hoping the remade duo can do the Tony Hawk name proud, otherwise it may be another decade-long drought of decent skating games. Now, where’s our Tony Hawk’s Underground remake, eh, Activision?
