Announcing a PlayStation 4 port and releasing it on the same day takes some gusto but that’s what Hiker Games and Digital Smash are doing. Their metroidvania inspired Toy Odyssey: The Lost and The Found is dropping today on the PlayStation 4. Act fast because there will be a minor discount of $1.51 off due to Valentine’s Day. The game acts as a hard-as-nails platformer that harkens back to the difficulty of classic gems. You must protect the bedroom at all costs through procedurally generated levels. Check it out for yourself in the announcement trailer above.
“When we began working with Hiker Games, we became excited at the prospect of releasing Toy Odyssey to the western market,” said David Klein, President of Digital Smash. “This is a title we think will resonate gamers of all ages and backgrounds, and thus, we can’t wait to see it flourish on the PS4, to open up a much wider audience than ever before.”
Toy Odyssey: The Lost and The Found is developed by Hiker Games and ported over to the PS4 thanks to Digital Smash. The title released last September for Steam and Xbox One to above average reviews. Plus, if we’re being honest this game looks like a darker version of that Toy Story experience on the Sega Genesis. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
