Ubisoft Nadeo has today announced a new Trackmania game over on its official Twitch channel where the developer was streaming its eSports coverage of Trackmania.
Ubisoft Nadeo’s CEO took to the stage to announce that the company is bringing a new Trackmania game to PC, though it’s likely to release on consoles, too. He explained that the original game has been around for a while and that the team wanted to take a risk to bring something new to players. The stream continued with the developers showing the new building tools that players will be able to use to create their own mental tracks, as well as some fancy new graphics.
Update: After having had the chance to really listen to the stream, this new Trackmania game is a remake of Trackmania Nations, built from the ground up with new tools, features, and gameplay elements, and even daily and weekly tournaments, ranging from beginner to pro, so everyone can get in on the action.
During the stream, a trailer was shown for the game, but at the time of writing that trailer is not yet available, but I’ll be sure to add it in once it is.
[Update: the steam has been made available on YouTube. You’ll need to skip to around 15 minutes in to see the initial trailer, and then the rest is live gameplay.]
The reveal trailer states that Trackmania Reforge will release on May 5th, 2020.
