Traffic Jams Causes Chaos on PSVR Today

Road rage and zombies galore in Traffic Jams on PSVR

Vertigo Games and Little Chicken Game Company have today released Traffic Jams onto PSVR, playable on PS4 and PS5. It’s good fun, too, and I recently caused all kinds of mayhem when I played the game earlier this month for our Traffic Jams PSVR review.

There’s a 25% discount for PS Plus members and that offer runs Until September 9th, otherwise, it’s $19.99/€19.99/£15.99.

What you get for your money is a silly, simple, and fun traffic management game. Using your PS Move wands (you need two for this game) you’ll direct traffic by signalling vehicles and pedestrians to stop and go. The aim is to avoid any collisions and to not keep anybody waiting too long, lest they get annoyed and then ignore your instructions and ruin your perfect score.

Impatient people aren’t the only danger, though, as you’ll have to navigate around Godzilla’s destruction, a meteor shower, and more disasters. It’s a hard life being a traffic warden, apparently…

There’s a total of five levels and each one has three gameplay modes, including a night mode where a new threat lurks in the darkness: zombies. The undead will crawl from the sewers and join the crowds and you can either throw stuff at them, slap them if they get too close, or use traffic as your weapon.

They’re not too scary, mind you, so it’s still family-friendly fun that younger players can enjoy without getting nightmares.

Traffic Jams also has a multiplayer mode where non-VR players can get involved and influence what’s happening using their smartphones or tablets. Or you can do as I did – pass the headset around and compete for the high score.
