Transformers Battlegrounds Trailer Assembles Autobots on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC

Hasbro, Outright Games, and developer Coatsink have today released the latest game in the Transformers franchise with Transformers Battlegrounds, which is out today on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Transformers Battlegrounds tells an original story in a game full of intense tactical combat where players can take control of their favourite characters from the Transformers franchise, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Megatron as they battle it out for control of the AllSpark… again.

The game features a full single-player story mode that can either be played alone or with a second play in local co-op gameplay across a number of levels with iconic locations, like Central City and Cybertron.

You can have a gander at the game’s latest trailer up above, which released today to coincide with the release of Transformers Battlegrounds. We did plan on having a review for you to read and watch, but a problem with the review codes means we’re still waiting to be able to bring you any coverage.

“We are incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to work with Hasbro and create a new take on this iconic franchise,” says Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games. “We have grown up with the Transformers Universe and are excited to be involved with the publication of this game.”

“The Transformers franchise has spanned many different forms of entertainment over the years and we’re always excited by a new video game featuring everyone’s favourite bots,” says Mark Blecher, Hasbro SVP Corporate Strategy and Business Affairs. “It’s an incredibly exciting time for the video game industry and we couldn’t be more pleased to launch this new title for fans of all ages to enjoy.”
