Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is set to cast a spell on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC next month, and to get players ready for a magical adventure, Frozenbyte has released a brand new trailer.
The new trailer, which is embedded up above for your viewing pleasure, gives us a quick look at what sets the story in motion. We get to see the motivations behind the titular Nightmare Prince, and our heroic trio summoned to action. It’s light on gameplay and heavy on cinematics, but if you’re looking to learn about the game’s setting and story, that’s not a bad thing at all.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will release on October 8th as a standalone game, or as part of the full Trine collection, also releasing on the same day. If you’ve never played the Trine games before, it might be a good idea to start from the beginning.
“Set within a charming fairytale universe rife with wondrous sights and perplexing puzzles, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince elevates the fan-favorite co-op series to new heights. Overhauled combat and expansive skill trees help players get as invested into the action as their preferred hero, and the game’s puzzles change based on how many players are in a group to make sure exploration feels as satisfying solo as it does in a team of four.”
