Two New Characters in Ys Origin Trailer
After being released over ten years ago, an updated Ys Origin will be hitting the PS4 on February 21st. The action-RPG will feature visuals in widescreen HD, upgraded effects, improved menus, trophies, leaderboards, and a general spit and shine of the entire title. With all these improvements and knowing that all our favorite games will be even more HD-ified for the next console generation, maybe we should not even buy games until later? Shut up, crazy brain.
The game will let you play as different heroes and experience their stories. The most recent trailer features the game’s combat with the stalwart ax-wielding warrior, Yunica, and the powerful sorcerer, Hugo.
There is some sad news for any people hoping to play this on the Vita. That version will be delayed until May 30th for some extra love and attention. The good news is that the game will be cross-buy, so one purchase allows you to play on either system.
What other RPGs should be updated for a PS4/PS Vita release? Let us know in the comments if there is anything that you would be willing to drop your money on right now.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
