With E3 2020 officially dead in the water, what’s going to happen to all of the announcements that publishers and developers have been working hard to show off to players, press, and retailers? Well, we live in the age of the internet, so it’s only natural that things shift online.
Ubisoft has announced via Twitter that it is looking into putting together a digital experience this summer as E3 2020 has been cancelled. There’s not much else to go on at the moment, but it’s fair to assume that there will be a dedicated live stream with announcements, trailers, and maybe even a few giveaways. Gotta get rid of all that E3 merch and swag somehow, right?
Expect more and more publishers and developers to announce digital events in the coming days. It’s good that they still want to give fans something, but it just won’t be the same, will it?
