Ok, so it doesn’t feel like that long ago since we wrote to tell you that Uncharted 4 was being pushed from March 2016 to late April 2016. Well now we’re writing to tell you it’s been pushed yet again, but thankfully only by two weeks. The new release date will be the 10th of May 2016. Here’s exactly what Shaun Layden, President and CEO of SCEA, had to say over of the PlayStation Blog:
In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.
While the news is a little bit annoying there is two bright sides: (1) this gives Naughty Dog a little more time to polish the game, (2) the game will release uniformly on the same day world wide. In the mean time there will be an open beta for Uncharted 4 this weekend, so you will be able to get your hands on a portion of it very soon.
Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
