First things first, we want to quickly apologise for the lack of content over the last few days. We’ve been very busy, but we’ll be picking up the slack starting right now with this here article. Remember, we’re still looking for some new writers to help out and so far a grand total of absolutely nobody has applied, so if you’re at all interested send us an email. Your chances of getting a place on the team are pretty high considering the competition is none existent!
Now for the reason you clicked on this article. Naughty Dog held a closed beta, exclusive for those who purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, back in December. Well the busy folk over at Naughty Dog have been poring over all of the feedback and data they gathered from the closed beta and they’ve been implementing some of that feedback into the game. Uncharted 4 is launching in late April and they’ve decided to hold an open beta this weekend to see how well the changes from the closed beta have worked.
That means the open beta is starting on the 4th of March at 5:00pm GMT and ending on the 7th of March at 7:59am GMT. As is the case with most games these days, you’ll be able to pre-load the beta so you can jump straight into the action on the 4th.

Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
