Did you know there was a video game based off of the Amazon Prime show The Grand Tour? I didn’t. Or at least I don’t remember it. Either way, it’s coming out very, very soon and Amazon is keen to show everyone that the game is just a couple of weeks away by having the stars of the show play the game they’re a part of.
The three hosts of The Grand Tour, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammon, and James May are all featured in the latest promotional video as they take part in some split-screen multiplayer racing. They’re not particularly good at it, mind, but bless them for being good sports for the cameras.
The Grand Tour will release digitally on PS4 and other platforms on January 18th, 2019. It won’t be the complete package, though, as more content will be delivered to the game as new episodes of The Grand Tour are released. It’s an interesting approach to episodic gaming, and a first for the racing genre, I believe. We’ll have to wait and see if it’s any good later on this month.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
