Video: Outriders PS4 Pro vs PS5 Comparison Shows Some (Expected) Differences Between Generations

We’ve knocked up another quick comparison video for the Outriders demo that released on the PS5 and PS4. This time the differences are quite noticeable.

Outside of the obvious bump to 60fps, there are a few other differences between Outriders on PS5 and Outriders on PS4 Pro.

As expected, the last-gen version of the game has a few differences when compared to its next-gen counterpart. What’s surprising, though, is that the differences aren’t all that major and it mostly comes down to a few tweaks to geometry, lighting, shadows, and object placement. Oh, and resolution and frame rate, but if you’re still on PS4/PS4 Pro, it’s no surprise to be playing at 30FPS.

You could argue that this is just the demo and that it’s not the final product. Well, it’s as close to the final product as we’re going to get; this isn’t a beta, this is a slice of the full game, so what you see is most likely what you’ll get when Outriders releases on April 1st, 2021.

Give the video below a look if you’re interested to see what the differences are for Outriders on PS5 and PS4 Pro.
