Are you looking for your next fix of artsy fartsy gaming? Then look no further than Wandersong. The game’s creator, Greg Lobanov, has announced over on the official PlayStation Blog that his colourful adventure game is releasing on PS4 January 22nd, 2019. That’s next week!
There’s a launch trailer up at the top of this page that’ll give you a fair idea as to what Wandersong is, but just in case you can’t watch the trailer, I’ll give you a brief rundown.
Wandersong is a platforming adventure game set in a colourful universe where music is everything. So much so that you play as a walking musical instrument, and you’ll be playing melodies as you run and jump around the game’s world, collecting pieces of the mysterious Earthsong, and solving puzzles along the way.
What’s really interesting about Wandersong, at least in my opinion, is that it’s a musical game that’s swimming in colour that has also been designed for deaf and colourblind players. I think that’s pretty darn amazing.
“Every note of music is expressed with sound, colour, AND direction, so players of any type can play and enjoy seamlessly. We also don’t punish the player for failing a given sequence—the point is always to play and have fun with music, so even when there’s a “right” answer, we’ll let you try and try again until you pass without setting you back or taking progress away from you.”
So, January 22nd is when Wandersong releases on PS4, and you’ll find our review for the game a day before on January 21st, 2019.
