The developers behind the upcoming Warhammer: Chaosbane dropped a new trailer with some answers to fan questions. The first thing they want you to know is that the game is packed with replayability. There are four different characters with different skills, skill trees, and a long loot pursuit for the best gear. There are also different modes such as Boss Rush or randomly generated levels in Exploration that can keep you returning to fight the evil forces of Chaos and equip your character with more powerful items.
If you spend the time to build up your favorite character, it can be used in any of the game modes. Whether you go online, or whether you keep your co-op local, it all follows you into the single player campaign and back again. Time spent improving one of your characters will not be taken away once you decide to play another part of the game.
There’s more in the trailer, but the developers let you know that you can expect more content after release. They mention the season pass (naturally), but there will be free content as well. For those of you who want the challenge, a hardcore mode with permadeath is all also planned for the future. Good luck to those of you who want to be punished.
Warhammer: Chaosbane will start it’s first closed beta on March 7th for anyone who pre-orders the game. You will have access to two characters with a level cap of 20 and can play co-op online or locally. Check back later this week for our thoughts.
Bigben Press Release
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
