CD Projekt Red has announced that it will be partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on Cyberpunk 2077, with the latter company set to publish the game in North America.
There’s not really that much significance to this announcement. CD Projekt Red may be a big company, but it’s lacking the resources to really promote the game in North America, so having Warner Bros. handling the distribution and marketing of the game takes some of the pressure off of CD Projekt Red.
It’s not that unusual as CD Projekt Red and Warner Bros. have partnered before with The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3, so it’s pretty much business as usual.
There’s still no release date for Cyberpunk 2077, though perhaps that’ll come sooner rather than later after this latest announcement.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
