According to a Reddit post today, Wasteland 3 is getting a massive patch early next week. The Community Manager for inXile, Mattonomicon, made the announcement saying it “will offer a ton of fixes and improvements”. How many? The draft version of the patch notes are around twelve pages right now. That’s probably separating fixes for specific consoles and PC, but that’s still a truckload of bugs squashed. In addition to those bugs, you can expect “fixes, improvements, some new quality of life hotness, and a nice big chunk of balance changes”.
If you’ve had issues in Yuma County, version 1.2 may fix that for you as well. It’s coming early next week with version 1.3 scheduled to release before the end of the month. It will add localization support for Brazilian, Portuguese, and Italian as well as support for Mac and Linux.
It sounds as if patch 1.2 puts the game in a better state, although our own Jeremy loved it in his review. If you’ve been holding out, this may be the time to jump into the snowy post-apocalyptic wasteland of Colorado. You might finish the massive game, before a bunch of new content hits next year.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
