We all knew it was coming but Ubisoft has officially announced Watch Dogs 2 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game, in case you didn’t already know, is a sequel to Watch Dogs, though it’ll be shifting the hacking action to a different city with a new cast of characters, most notably dropping the boring Aiden Pierce from the billing.
The trailer was actually leaked far earlier than Ubisoft had intended but we’ve finally got the official reveal trailer. It doesn’t show any actual gameplay, though we reckon Ubisoft’s saving that for E3 2016, but it does at least give us an idea as to where the story is going.
- The game takes place in San Francisco instead of Chicago
- Aiden Pierce appears to be absent and there’s a new hacker hero taking over as the main playable character
- DeadSec has amassed a huge following (DeadSec was a hacker group from the first game)
- Watch Dogs 2 will release on PS4 this November 15th and pre-orders will get you a special mission named ‘The Zodiac Killer’
That’s all we’ve pilfered from the 2 minute video but we reckon there’s more worth pointing out. However, we’re a bunch of lazy sods so we’ll just leave the trailer below and let you drop a comment if you notice anything cool.
