Last week we told you that Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods & Monsters were all being delayed into the next fiscal year. It was kind of obvious then, but nobody at Ubisoft stated it as fact, but today we now know that Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods & Monsters will all get a release on PS5.
It comes as no surprise given that Ubisoft stated that Watch Dogs Legion would release in the second half of next year, which just so happens to be when the PS5 and next Xbox will be releasing. That’s not to say the PS4 version won’t be coming – they will, as these games will now be cross-gen releases, much like the first Watch Dogs was.
Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot, when asked about the five games that had been pushed back, stated: “The five titles… they will be on this generation and the next generation, and they will take full advantage all the new features that are coming with the machines, which are actually going to be extremely interesting for players.”
He also goes on to say that players can expect to be able to download new content faster as well as enjoy better frame rates with the new machines. That’s no surprise, really, seeing as how the new machines will be next-gen, but it’s good to know anyway.
