If you’re just finishing another big game set in Japan, WRC 9 is looking to keep you there. A new gameplay trailer shows off the Rally Japan track with tight corners around wet asphalt in the green Aichi and Gifu districts. This is the first time since 2011 that Rally Japan will be featured in a WRC game, and it’s a pretty track that should give you quite a challenge.
WRC 9 is bringing the new Rally Japan track as well as new tracks in New Zealand and Kenya. There will be over 50 teams, 15 bonus cars, and new modes in this latest entry to the franchise. It’s releasing on the PS4 on September 8th. Although confirmed for the PS5, we don’t yet have a release date. As you wait for either platform, give the trailer a watch to see what you can expect.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
