Our favorite games and franchises age with us, and Tekken has been around for 20 years. We can barely remember yesterday, so, with the seventh game releasing June 2nd, it is nice to have a little reminder about the twists and betrayals that have happened along the way.
The first part of the Tekken 8-Bit Cinema Retro Recap (what a mouthful) has been released to give you the crib notes on the first three Tekken games, starting with a loving father throwing his son off a cliff. Things only go down from there.
Check out the video for part 1, and let us know if you would have learned more history in school if it had 8-bit graphics.
We sometimes link to online retail stores. If you buy something from our links, we may make a small commission which goes towards keeping the lights on and coffee in the pot.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
