NACON and Cyanide have today released a new gameplay video for Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood, and it’s an extended look at the game with some commentary from Game Director Julien Desourteaux.
The seven-minute gameplay videos gives us a look at the main character, Cahal, as he shifts between his human form, his wolf form, and his deadly-but-cool werewolf form. It looks promising and the systems in play appear to give the game a bit more depth than your typical hack-n-slasher, not that the game is an all-out hack-n-slasher. The developer, Cyanide, explains that the team went to great efforts to create a visceral beat’em up game, but it’s still true to the original tabletop RPG on which the game is based.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will release on February 4th, 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders are open and if you opt for the digital edition on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, you’ll get the next-gen version as a free upgrade when you manage to hunt down a PS5 or an Xbox Series X|S.
