The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe, the first episode in Wolfenstein 2’s The Freedom Chronicles DLC, is available from today on PS4, as announced by Bethesda in a press release to Pure PlayStation.
The new DLC centres around the titular hero Joe, a former professional football player (American football, we should add) as he goes on a bit of a rampage against the Nazi bastards that are making everybody’s life a seven-Monday week. Being that he used to throw his body at other men to earn his bread, Joe is able to ram Nazi scum with some incredible force that the game calls “Ram Shackles” ability.
Joe will kill Nazis from the blitz-ridden streets of Chicago all the way to space. Don’t ask why. Just accept it. If you think this is a little bonkers, just wait until the next two DLC packs drop with their own heroes and stories – we’re sure we’re in for some treats.
Those who own Wolfenstein 2’s Season Pass, The Freedom Chronicles, will be able to download the add-on at no expense, as well as the two upcoming instalments. Those who don’t have the Season Pass can purchase them separately, but if you’re going to do that you may as well just buy the Season Pass as it’ll save you a couple of quid/dollars/euros/beans in the long run.
