Last week we saw a glimpse of the squirmy-haired lady in a trailer. Today, we have an entire video dedicated to the quest to take Medusa down. As you can see, it’s going to be challenging, and, unless you are completely leveled, your odds go from not great to almost impossible.
The quest is not a direct line either. The path takes you to different islands to speak with or kill (or both) different warriors to finally open the door. She has a petrifying eye beam, and she is no slouch with a sword. She could turn you into kebab quicker than you can say my big, fat Greek wedding. It should be a great challenge for players nearing the end of the game.
I have a second trailer for anyone that missed it over the weekend. This one focuses on the setting. Ancient Greece has a lot going for it that makes it an ideal place for the budding assassin. The Peloponnesian War is in the background, democracy is still roughly new, different factions are vying for control, and there are iconic individuals to meet. Ubisoft’s vision of Greece is easy on the eyes too with mountainous terrain and garden-filled towns.
Check out both trailers, and please join me in hoping we have a fight with a Cyclops and a Minotaur as well. With an October 5th release date, we will find out very soon.
We sometimes link to online retail stores. If you buy something from our links, we may make a small commission which goes towards keeping the lights on and coffee in the pot.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
